If you ever thought buttercream flowers looked too hard to make, this video is for you! In the video below I’ll show you how easy it is to pipe buttercream flowers.
All you need is a special type of piping tip and a flower nail to get started!
Tools used in this video:
- Italian Meringue Buttercream
- piping bags
- #104 petal tip
- #2 round tip
- flower nail
- parchment paper
And a few key take-aways from the video:
-Always hold petal tips so the that wider end points toward the center of your flower.
-Petal shape is affected by rotation of the flower nail, movement of the piping tip, angle of the piping tip, and pressure applied to the bag.
-Petal width is controlled by how fast you turn the flower nail.
-Petal length is controlled by moving the piping tip away from and back towards the center of the flower nail.
